About us

Blessing Bags is run by a team of committed volunteers who aim to make a difference. 

An independent not for profit organisation, we support and empower people currently experiencing homelessness and those at risk or experiencing homelessness.

Our work

Based on the Mornington Peninsula, Blessing Bags is a Melbourne-based initiative that assembles and distributes hygiene packs to those experiencing homelessness and/or disadvantage. The hygiene packs contain essential personal care items as well as a handwritten note of hope and positivity so that the recipient knows that they are not alone. 

Our impact

Blessing Bags have the privilege of providing bags to a wide range of individuals and communities across Melbourne and surrounds. We partner with organisations, crisis centres, schools, community groups and businesses who reach out to us for support. These groups/organisations pass on bags to those they work with who are in need of some extra support.
